Ok, so I'm now in the home stretch fo rfinals this semester. I've only got one left, on Friday, and it shouldnt be that bad. Contracts is easy enough, once you know where to look for answers and stuff.
Law is law, when you get down to it, and the study of law is simple. You look at the particular statute governing the problem, and then say "how is the problem in question like the statute? How is it different?" Usually thats enough. If not, look for precedent cases and stuff, and do the above exercise again. The trick to law school is knowing how to pick out key differences from unimportant ones. That's all it is. Logic and critical thinking.
Anyhow, my previous final was crim law. It was 3 hours of applying the law to situations. 3 hours, and 3 full blue books of essay. I realized that I wrote, in 3 hours, approximately 36 double spaced pages of information. That is the other key to law school - endurance. They want to see if you will sit still and focus for 3 or 4 hours straight. I dont know why they do this. Perhaps because they are "preparing us for the real world". Well, I have a whole big problem with this approach, but I won't go into it untill my next post.
And that is that. Now back to Contracts and the Albaquerque (sp?)Isotopes and Jeopardy.
