The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

I think that after 9/11 it was our actions that increased over all terrorists who think about hurting us. But how many of them are really willing to kill innocent people for it? At least on a scale big enough to make the news?
I think Bin laden was a crack pot who started a freak cult and pulled off a terrorist attack. Like so many terrorist groups before him. There have always been terrorists, and there will always be terrorists.
And I don't think amping up security is going to do all that much. I think bettering our global relations will help. Leading by example will help. Just about everything but what we are doing, will help.
