A Diversion

As I sit here, in the bar prep lecture, the voice of the lecturer
drones on, and on, and on. The temperature here is comfortable, and my
eyes begin to droop. His drone is at a level and pitch that makes the
words blur together and put everyone to sleep.

I try to fight
it, because I don't want to snore in class. So I write this blog,
hoping it will divert my fatigue and give me some pep. Thanks to Del
for the suggestion. Oh, and ninjas will always beat pirates.

I had a big thing to write about, all about law and justice. It was
fitting, since today Paris Hilton got freed from jail (after only 3
nights). But as I was writing it, I just got frustrated and irritated.
It seems patently unfair and BS for this sort of thing to happen.

So
I won't write about it. I'll just shake my head and wish for a place
where the laws apply to everyone equally. Or else I'll wish for Batman
to come back, with his unique form of justice.

I really have
no inspiration today. I would love to wax philosophical, debate a great
issue with people, but this lecture is sucking the life out of me. It
is sucking the genius out of me. Oh the horror.

So here's what I'll do. Here are some things
I'd like to talk about sooner or later. Add or subtract as you'd like.
Maybe a list like this will spur me into paying less attention to
boring lectures and help me stay awake.

1. Freakonomics (book)
2. nanny-government
3. Google Street View and my tinfoil hat
4. the big worry about News that Nobody knows (but me)
5. the whole "where I see myself in 10 years" thing that I have seen from may folks
6. self-sufficient homes - ones that don't rely on the electric company
7. the computer I want to buy
8. my 10 year plan (see how I mixed it up there?)

Enjoy thinking for me.

your tinfoil hat? Andy... you're thoughts, I didn't know they were worth protecting... ? At least not as long as you continue to think that Ninjas are better than Pirates... cause you know it's not true. Pirates even have the better scenery! Yay for tropical islands!!
